I was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and developed an interest in photography around age 12 when my cousin, who was several years older, let me watch him in his darkroom. I was fascinated by all of the chemical processes and the "magical" appearance of the image in the developer. I knew immediately I needed to know how to do this. My dad helped me build a small darkroom under the basement stairs and together we learned how to take and develop photographs. I have long since switched to digital photography but still have a darkroom in my basement. I print all of my own photos on an assortment of Epson printers as I believe Epson's inks are the best. The majority of my photos are printed in 20 x 30 inch size but of course can always be printed smaller. Larger prints are available subject to resolution constraints.
